Eric Blankinship

Eric’s life is a “friggin’ soap opera”. Eric likes to do everything with his best bud and teammate Dave. When Dave decided to join the DePaul cycling team, Eric joined too. When Dave decided to join ReCycling Team, Eric did to. So when Dave decided to join Rhythm Racing, Eric did too. This may not be the real story, or the opposite may be true. Either way, Eric has blossomed into a stellar bike racer. After having a hugely successful spring campaign last year, Eric turned down an upgrade to 2 so he could continue to race with his friend Dave. After an illustrious career in local bike shop management, Eric followed Dave and took a corporate job. Nowadays, Eric can be found analyzing logistics and logically analyzing things in the Loop. Eric’s goal for life is to be a Cat 1 bike racer. This season, he is aiming to make the jump to 2. You can find Eric racing as a 3 on the road and in cross this season.
